The School Futsal Federation is a national not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization dedicated to integrating the sport of futsal into every school across the country.

By 2025, our vision is to implement the “School Futsal Pathway” in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Why futsal

What is Futsal?

Futsal is the official small-sided game of soccer, played with 5 players on each team on a hard smooth surface with a ball that has reduced bounce.

Futsal is the only official indoor soccer game recognized by FIFA. The game is played by over 170 of FIFA’s 209 Member Associations. It has also helped almost every world-class outdoor soccer player develop the skills, vision and decision making required to be the best.

In futsal you need to think and play quick so it's easier for you when you move to normal football
Pele

Marta
Futsal will always be my very first love.

How do schools get funding? Easy.

PARENT

My son was introduced to futsal in PE class last year and can't get enough. We have noticed he is becoming more responsible at home and due to the constant interactions with his friends and coaches, he is learning how to resolve conflicts without adult intervention.

Introducing futsal to students in every elementary school across the country would do more to develop better soccer players than any other program or strategy that we could put in place.
Barbara Johnson
HEAD OF DALLAS URBAN SCHOOL WELLNESS DEPARTMENT
Dallas ISD
School futsal really represented the approach that we take in our department of Urban School Wellness to supporting the whole child, mentally, physically, socially and emotionally. Futsal is a great platform for accomplishing that goal.
